How to play Sniper

Sniper is a 3D long-range shooting game. You lie on a rooftop above a city and have to take out every hostile target walking the streets and rooftops before the timer runs out, without hitting any of the civilians mixed in with them. The bullet really flies: it drops over distance, the wind pushes it sideways, and moving targets need a lead. Every shot is followed by a slow-motion bullet cam, and a dotted aim preview shows where the bullet will land at the range you are aiming at.

• Mouse to aim, left-click to fire, right-click to scope in / out
• Mouse wheel or Q / E to change zoom (4x, 8x, 14x)
• Hold Shift to hold your breath and steady the rifle
• R to reload, T aim preview on / off, B bullet cam on / off, Space to skip the bullet cam
• Touch: drag to aim, SCOPE, ZOOM, HOLD, R and FIRE buttons

Tips for a higher score

• Look for the red markers with the naked eye first, then scope in and use the wheel or Q and E to zoom for the shot.
• Hold Shift to hold your breath just before you fire; the rifle steadies, but you only have a few seconds before you have to breathe.
• Aim above a distant target for bullet drop, and into the wind by the amount the orange aim preview shows.
• Walking targets move while the bullet flies, so aim ahead of them, or wait for them to stop and take the shot.
• Armoured heavies take two body hits but go down to a single headshot, which also scores bonus points.
• Check the target outfit before every shot: a civilian hit costs points and a strike, and three strikes end the mission.
